Testa Duomo (Dome) – Chiara Pergola, 2013 – Digital design for Ricreazioni. Nuova guida storica e artistica per Mirandola

The title is a game of words between the meaning of Man’s Head and Dome, having the same sound in italian. The artist also plays with her own identity and the work can be seen as a self portrait. Ricreazioni is the catalog-guide edited by Fortino Editions that testifies the artistic project developed in relation to the earthquake that shook the town of Mirandola and the Emilia in May 2012. The initiative, born from the desire to involve a group of contemporary artists to work with students on the city’s territory, led to the creation of works that re-interpret the public space of the “new town” which now appears as if waiting a re-creation.

Testa Duomo – Chiara Pergola, 2013 – Intervento grafico su Ricreazioni. Nuova guida storica e artistica per Mirandola, il catalogo + “guida turistica” edito da Fortino Editions, che testimonia un progetto artistico sviluppato in relazione agli eventi sismici che hanno sconvolto la cittadina di Mirandola e l’Emilia nel maggio 2012. Invitati un gruppo di artisti contemporanei ad operare sul territorio e a lavorare insieme agli studenti, l’iniziativa porterà alla creazione di opere che re-interpretano lo spazio pubblico dal punto di vista fisico ed emozionale, che appare oggi come in attesa di una ri-creazione.
