Search – My work is site specific and I conceive art as the means of mutual influence between the cultural subject and the context. The process of knowledge, through which we recognize something as meaningful is central to my poetics: hypertext, trace, topology are keywords to understand my work, and I often use texts and words together with the visual image. Artist’s books and publications represent a specific section which goes under the acronym X/? (per chi) in bookfairs and self-publishing events. In 2009 I founded Musée de l’OHM, a chest of drawers from the XIX century turned into an museum with a permanent collection and a regular program of exhibitions. Located permanently inside the Medieval Museum of Bologna, OHM offers a point of view on contemporary art within the core of tradition.

Studies and work experiences – After the studies in Architecture (1990) and Master’s Degree in Biology (1997) I graduated in Painting (2009) with a thesis reviewing the concept of bachelor’s machines from a feminist point of view. After my first degree I worked for 5 years in a multinational company, Tetra Pak Packaging Systems, as manager of the packaging area: this experience has brought my attention on the way the relationship between individuals develops in a given social system, a concern which is underpinning my practice today. In addition to my artistic activity,  I teach Mathematics, a discipline  deeply related to the conceptual research, and work as an adjunct professor for Art Schools and Fine Art Academies.
